Since when? I have two. No, they are not conical like alpha, bravo, b3, Volvo sx, Volvo dp......but still a bearing in the transom assy that the tail stock rides on. Should I be referring to it under a different nomenclachur?

Mine are actually in the tailstock of the transmission. The gimble itself is just a wide open hole the tailstock slides into with a big rubber donut for a seal. I always referred to them as tailstock bearings.
