I can't say for sure on RPM because I changed drive Gear Ratios over the same winter from 1.34 to 1.50. I can say that we weren't targeting increasing RPM of the props (I didn't want to alter the pitch from stock). From 1.34 running 5200 rpm to 1.50 running 5900 rpm - doing the ratio's, that's maybe a gain of 100 rpm. As far as speed goes, the ratio change supposedly affects how the boat handles and the transmitted torque as well, but the bow definitely carried better and reduced my wetted surface area enough that I gained 3 mph. The mid range pull on these props was incredible above 3500 rpm, I was blown away at the natural acceleration of the props vs other sets I have used in the past.

Were the 28's not tall enuff for your set up? Hoping so, I just re powered my 31 and will be 3-400 HP more than I was. Have been running 24's at about 4,500 rpm' sand thinking 26's at least, but lab bed 28's may work fine? Need to be turning 52-5300 now. May need to call Bblades myself and see what they think. You still have them right?
