I'm pretty sure the 575 sci has a pretty mild flat tappet.

That engine would have a hydraulic roller, not a flat tapped.

Sorry guys but ALL FOUR serial ranges of the 575sci list the same camshaft and same lifter, and they are flat tappet. Not roller.

Just to clarify
The 575 SCI (ALL Serial ranges)
1991-1996 Gen IV/V 600 SC
1998 Gen VI bobtail 600 SC
1993-1998 800 SC
All run the Crane/ Merc # 491-818870 cam which is a a hydraulic flat tappet.

That doesn't mean that your engine wasn't changed at some point, but if they were on a 100% factory stock 575sci they are set up for flat tappet. If that was a factory roller engine I would be trying to buy these already. I need something to bolt on and go just in case my other engine is not finished by the time the weather turns.....

These are off a bone stock 575SCI running a flat tappet cam. I can do a valve job and a spring change on them if that is what someone is looking for.

Sorry for the misinformation. I thought that it being fuel injected (SCi) that it would have been a hydraulic roller set up. A hydraulic roller is what's in Mercury Racing's specification.
