Default 496 aluminum manifolds for sale on Ebay

Just thought I'd pass this along. A pair of 496 aluminum manifolds, no risers on ebay. I know that the guy was going to sell them me for $450.

I think this are not alloy headers,as the alloy version have separate waterrails under them!
They look exact like standart cast iron later version!

From what I have read Michael, the iron and aluminum version of these manifolds are the same. Some of the manifolds had a water rail under them but then I think that was eliminated in later versions of the manifold.

Only the early aluminum models have the water rails. The second generation aluminum units look just like the later cast iron models. The way you can tell them apart is that the iron models have core plugs on the back side while the aluminum models do not. When all said and done the aluminum manifolds are around 50 pounds lighter.

I have two sets of aluminum manifolds WITHOUT the bottom rail. So they do exist.
