575SCI ** Mechanic Special**
I have a 575sci that recently locked up. I haven't torn it down to see what is wrong, but it basically put the breaks on while running at 4,500rpm.
The injectors and all sensors on the throttle bodies are new and have two hours run time on them.
The alternator was rebuilt two hours ago.
new plugs, wires, cap, starter
has the smaller pulley and 120 thermostat in it. I also have the stock pulley that goes with it.
I do not know the internals, but do know it does not have a stock cam and the timing cover is Imco.
Custom billet flame arrestor.
The blower spins freely and was making 6 lbs boost.
Does not come with headers, mounts, coupler.
I can arrange crating and shipping for cost.
The engine is in Southern California.
Make an offer.

Are you sure the engine is locked up? I have seen an outdrive lock up & stop the engine cold. Couldn't turn it over with the starter either. That was on an OMC Cobra drive...

When the Cobra drive locked up, it slowed the engine and finally stopped it. When I got it, I pulled the drive (prep to pull engine) and found that the drive was almost dry of lube and had locked up. Apparently the owner had drained the drive during winterization, and was going to replace the lube. Bought the lube and plain forgot about re-filling the drive over the winter. Engine was ok. Not saying this is your condition, but a possibility

I tried to blow up a old 350 that had a rod knock , beat the livin snot out of it in the car. Still wouldn't,t blow with over revving it. Held the pedal to the floor it took a good 5 minutes before it finally locked up and made some nice screeching sounds before it locked.
Next day turned it over for chits and giggles and it started right back up and really knocked.
