did you ever run this on the blue '89? thinking i want to try one of these or a Bravo 4 blade. i have a 23p Mirage Plus i'm looking to trade if you're interested, bet it would be about right with that 502.

Brandon, no I did not have it wen I had your boat. I bought the Rev 4 and a Bravo 1 22p when I repowered my 242 when I first owned it (back in 2000). I realized after running it the boat over the past couple of months that the Rev 4 provides too much stern lift and so I want to go back to a 22p bravo 1. When I reacquired the boat the Bravo 1 was missing so just bought another. I like a 4 blade prop vs 3 blade.

gotcha. i figured you'd need more pitch than that with 415hp.

i'm having trouble keeping the bow down on lake michigan and the boat likes to porpoise on smooth water (even with trim and tab adjustments), so a 4 blade is the direction i want to go as well. 3000-3400 rpm is most of our use anyways, and it sounds like a 4 blade improves cruise attitude. i'll sacrifice a little top end.

good to know about the rev4 having too much stern lift, thanks. trying my 23p mirage plus this weekend, anticipating not enough rpm.

Maybe the Rev 4 would work well for you. Might be worth trying a 19p Rev 4. BBlades has a prop testing program...maybe they have one that you can test.
