HI Stephen congrats with the sale but sorry for your loss! Bet you have a ton of memories with it. Can you give any insight into the boat before and after ASD's?

Boat handled differently after the Arneson install. Docked easier, felt much more hooked up. Props were further aft than TRS so they continued to push the boat in a chop. The TRS drives would leave the water forcing you to throttle back. Plus, never even thought about breakage. Great drives in my opinion.

461 turbo engines, dynode 706 I thin k he said, needed a little tlc in the idling department, very cool setup... talked to him for a bit the other day.. never got it ptopped right saw 80@5000

Yes, changed to 461 twin turbo motors with the Gentry stuff from Carson Brummet. Did run 80 @5000 rpm. Gear ratio was not optimal for that lower horsepower so changed to 1.5:1. Never ran the boat after that but I have no doubt that it would have run a solid 85. Maybe faster. Guess I will never know!

They were necessary for our setup. The small turbo motors made no horsepower on the low end. We needed to get the props spinning to build some power to get on plane. They would not be necessary with most other applications like blower motors or larger cubic inch n.a. motors. They did serve their purpose and worked well.
