Default 2006 Duramax/Allison???

I have heard for 06 that the Max will get some more ponies and torque and that a 6 speed all. may be here. Has anybody else heard this stuff and is there any truth in it? Any other possible changes that you have heard of? Wrink

my bet is that you won't see a 6-speed build until Jan... similar to the 04.5 LLY introduction into the build.

10 or 20 hp and ft. lbs.

Actually Rip., I am serious about ordering one (2500hd) say the end of Jan 06 and have it come in after most of winter is done here in Michigan around the end of March. So if there were mid year changes, hopefully I would be taking advantage of this. Wrink

That's why spring order is nice. You get to have it mint and clean for one summer before the winter thrashing begins. I ordered April 12 last year and had the truck June 1

I know these trucks quite well. Are you doing LT or LS?

I did an LS truck with:
cab marker lights
power driver's seat
polished wheels
steering wheel controls w/enhanced DIC
deep tinted glass
mid level side mirrors w/heat, signals, pwr fold ect.
pushbutton transfer case
fog lamps
grill cover

don't dig leather or buckets 'cause the console intrudes into the legroom for me, I'm 6'5".

the truck was 43.8K retail
my price 38K ...before...
1K rebate (with 0% 60 mos. GMAC)
and got a FAT number for my HD trade that I didn't have alot of cash in (3K over my closeout)
financed 34K @ 0%
VERY happy as my balance is falling fast with 0%!!!

I'll owe 20K in 24 mos., just under 13K in 36 mos....I CANNOT get hurt on this truck + I'm a low mileage guy...~8k a year

been tempted to go get a dually. I already know where the candidates are.

'cause my 7K mile truck is a hot item here (one of the reasons I did Victory Red... curb appeal) and the GM store GM is my nieghbor.

With the current programs and my connection, I could go get a new '05 LS Dually similar in trim to my present one, and I'll bet my pmt wouldn't change $20 bucks. I just don't know if I could stomach paying any interest now + this truck has been flawless...
and it's all rigged including a Fisher MM2 (I know him too)

After this LLY DMax, I'll never drive a gas truck again!

YO Rip, probably would order a loaded LT (minus dvd and sunroof). My dog over there does not watch much porn these days. My Burb now and the p/up in the future is/will be my only vehicle (daily driver). Planning on 2500 HD crew cab short box. Gets me to my office and will pull the 382 a lot better than the Burb! Take care, Wrink

I looked at a couple duallies today at another dealer that I won't give the time of day...

There's a near identical truck to mine in a dually at a sister dealer to mine downstate...
I said "what's it take to get that truck"
he says..."a phone call"
the man is very excited about taking mine.
They don't have one DMax on the ground...he says 48 hrs it's sold.
I see a another killer deal comin' my way...

He's gonna be out for a couple days. I'll call him Sat. to get a number. I left him the VIN, and have already done my math

it's looking too easy...

I heard the '07 Suburbans are a new body style and the Duramax/Allison is available. Anyone have any info.? I think they will be out in Spring of '06. If this is true, I need to get one on order.
