Used F250 Diesel with 102K Miles ??
I found a sweet black F250 7.0 Diesel with 102K Miles at a good price. The overall appearance wouldn't even suggest the mileage.
I'm going to test drive it later today--anything I should listen for or look for? Am I asking for trouble buying a diesel with that kind of mileage? What's the worst case problem beyond transmission?

I wouldn't hesitate. That's a good truck. I bought my Cummins Dodge with 101k miles, and am now at 211k with no problems at all. Once these diesel trucks make it to 100k or so, they last forever. With proper maint, of course!

Re: Used F250 Diesel with 102K Miles ??
I went and drove the thing last night after work nad everything semd tighter than I expected for the miles.
There is a mild (maybe 4") lift kit on truck and some bigger tires and I noticed a little tire noise from those. Also noticed a little "play" in lift kit or from the taller shocks when I applied the brakes. The diesel was a little noiser in the cab than I expected but not that bad.
They are asking $24,900 and it's a Lariat.
If they can get a few more dollars off the bottom line I'm interested.
