More than likely just throwing an overboost code. Does the light go off after a couple minutes?

many poorly engineered chips cause overboost codes. are you sure the light came on before the chip??? it's very hard to do stock.

the light will turn on when the ECM see's 24.5#'s of manifold pressure, or 49 inches/exhaust back prsssure

easiest way to fool this, is to remove the little hose elbow from the wastegate actuator, insert a small ball bearing in the hose end, reinstall the hose on the actuator with a ty-wrap... and viola, another free 7#'s of boost just appeared....
