Re: 2004 F250 Price??
I just paid 25K for a 2002 with 40K miles, paid a little more than might have found one for elsewhere, but I knwe the truck and it was clean. I would be concerned with the 6.0L, I do not know about 2004 for sure, but I know there was a lot of trouble with the 6.0L at some point, so I simply look for someting with a great reputation, instead of hoping I will not be another story somewhere...

Re: 2004 F250 Price??
I just traded an 04 F250 crewcab 4x4 with a 6.0 (harley edition) with 15000 miles on it, truck had a 4" lift and 365/65r16 Toyo at's on it and they gave me 37000.00 trade-in and sold me on 06 F350 dually for 42000.00. prices seem to be all over the board on the F250s I've seen them as low as 27000.00 and as high as 38000.00 depending on location/mileage/condition.

That and I was smart enough not to buy one of the black/orange models, around here they don't resell well, I had the black/gray unit, figuring that even if the h-d craze flattened out, I could sell it without as much problem as with the circus wagon version.
Watching trader magizine online and e-bay the prices seem to fluctuate wildly all over the country.
And with the rebates ford is giving, you have to have something desirable to trade to get any money out of it on trade.

Re: 2004 F250 Price??
Well I bought the truck today. I found an 05 F250 Lariat with 29K miles. It is loaded and it has a 10 inch DVD system mounted in the roof for the kidos. I can't wait to pull the boat with it. The 04 I was looking at was wedgewood blue, wasn't crazy about the color, the 05 I bought is white with the tan on the bottom. Exactly what I wanted. Now I have to work on getting it lifted.

You'll like the truck. I have an 04' PSD, that I appreciate more as I own it. This is my first diesel and won't be without one again. I tow 12,000 lb. and it tows beautifully, not just the power but the brakes and transmission are awesome. When I picked up my current boat, I had to tow it thruough the mountains in TN. One of the ones that has the runaway truck pits and truck brake inspection centers at the top. Not only did the truck not breathe hard up the hills. I only had to touch the brakes on occasion going down. I did have several bugs all is well now.
