Re: Towing capacity question??????
well is Chris Sunkin going to comment on this?
Considering if you have fuel in the boat and on a steel trailer besides being way over the truck capacity I would be suspect of the hitch.

Re: Towing capacity question??????
I understand if you have an accident and the cops check the weight of the tow and the capacity of the vehicle, you are screwed. But I thought it was a good question anyway.
I just upgraded to a 38 Fountain with a Myco Trailer (12,500 with fuel ). Had a 29 and used a Land Rover to pull it about. The Land Rover is 1 year into a 3 year lease. Now I got to "do something" else. The wife uses the Land Rover so it's got a use. Drove an F350 Diesel and have been looking at 2500 GM's. Seems it would be a real pain as a full time vehicle. You guys got any idea's?? 2007 Avalanch maybe??

www.trailerlife.com is a great resource. Once on their web page open up the tech section and go to tow ratings. They have the rating for every SUV/Van and pickup truck ever made between 1999 and 2006. This includes all engine/transmission and gear ratio variations.

Re: Towing capacity question??????
I have a 06 F-350 Diesel crew cab. I do not know what it can't do. The Tow Command brake controlleris awsome. Empty freeway...17 mpg..80mph..19 mpg. Comfey and Quiet. My 05 infinity FX rides rougher and gets worse fuel economy
