Re: Duramax, official tow vehicle of OSO
Got both of 'em.... 06 PSD and 06 D max. Both pull, but the GM is a MUCH better truck. Better in every way. Oh, sorry, the Ford has a sunroof, so it does have that over the GM..
Who on here would say "I have an_____, but I honestly think the _____ is a better truck."????
None of you.... Doesn't every guy have the best truck...or boat?

Re: Duramax, official tow vehicle of OSO
Test drove a new 06 Duramax yesterday. My salesman (who is also my brother in law) sold a Duramax to a general contractor who had just purchased a DOZEN thats right 12 Ford PSD to upgrade his fleet. In less than 3 months over SIX of them have gone back to the dealership for engine problems. On the test drive we pulled into a Chipotle for lunch, I had the windows down to listen to how noisy the diesel was, there was a Ford PSD (looked at leat 3-4 years old) 20 feet away idling from us. The noise coming from that FORD drowned out the Duramax.
Took the Duramax out on the highway punched it at 65mph and before you knew it we were going 90! Thing just keeps pulling. Plus the 6 speed Allison tranny is so SWEET, love the tap shift feature.

Re: Duramax, official tow vehicle of OSO
I heard a new Cummins the other day and was surprised how quiet it was...especially when comparing it to the older Cummins'. So I'd imagine if they can get their diesel to be quieter, the other 2 should be able to, too. I've yet to hear the new diesels from GM and Ford to see how quiet they are.
