2002 F250 super duty
I am thinking of buying a new (06) truck.. since ford is offering such great interest rates now... The problem is I have a great truck that is paid for, and I'm not sure that I want to deal with a payment at the moment...
Anyway... If I were to sell my current truck.. what is it worth, or is anyone out here looking for a truck like this. It is a 2002, 56k, 7.3, auto, lariat, charcoal with black lower accent, chrome steps, bucket seats(heated), with all options in 2002, plus ford mud flaps, stainless grill liner, aftermarket exhaust, 4"down and 5" pipe, guage pod( with pyro and boost), superchips 3 position chip, and a bed liner. The truck is practically perfect with a few rock chips on the front of the truck always garaged.
Thanks for your advice.....
Don

Re: 2002 F250 super duty
Kelly Blue Book says this for it as stock:
Excellent
$22,785
(Selected)
Good
$21,480
Fair
$19,720
I would add up the cost of all the aftermarket stuff, and divide it in half and add that to one of the numbers above. Sounds like a nice truck.

just did a blue book with all my options... 25,5xx private party... 21,8xx trade in...
Thanks hadn't checked there.. how accurate or realistic are these "books" and why are they so differently priced.?

I did private party value for your truck. Also, you know EXACTLY which options you have, I had to guess on a couple, so that could've been the difference too.
NADA and KBB are pretty good resources when it comes to selling...I think they're more accurate for private sales than trade ins though, you never know what a dealer will offer you.

I'm somewhat in the same scenerio. Not looking at trading in one that's paid for, but upgrading at least. I will always have a truck payment.
I have an 03 I ran numbers on today with my dealer. Given the numbers I was given I would guess your trade value in the 20-21.5 range.
I get top numbers from my dealer due to my business relationship with him. He quoted me $23,500 trade on my loaded 2003 F-250 Crew Cab. This is on a VERY low mileage truck that is mint. He said he usually offers around 20k for the same truck.
I realize these numbers can be very different depending on the area of the country one lives.
Selling your truck outright could be a whole different story. There are A LOT of individuals who would love to get their hands on a clean low mileage 7.3 Ford. This could work to your advantage.
Food for thought...
