Default Pulling Cap. on Escalade

Do you guys think a 2000 Escalade with the tow package will pull a 34' Scarab about 9k pounds plus the trailer 1200....

Any ideas its not for a long haul just with in about 20 mile plus in & out of the water..

Will it pull it, it probably will. Are you over capacity, definitely.
Borow someones dually or 3/4 ton.
Does your Escalade have the 6.0 motor?

The Escalades In 2000 I Believe Were Only Available In The Short Version Meaning No Extended/suburban Style Models. Their Gvw Is Less Than 9k Pounds And They Do Not Like To Tow Very Much Weight Due To Short Wheel Base. I Towed My 4 Place Enclosed Snowmobile Trailer With My Wife's Yukon Denali(same Chassis Pretty Much As Escalade) And It Was A Dog-walking Beotch With Only 6k Behind Me And Legal I Must Say. I Would Not Reccomend It. I Do Have A 3/4 Suburban Rated Up To Around 12k And It Still Does Not Have Enough Motor With Just The 6.0 In It. Handling It Around The Ramp Even Scares Me With The Short Wheel Bases For Stopping Purposes. My .02

I had a 33 POWERPLAY with 500's and towed it with a 2004 Escalade with no problem all the time. It was the AWD short wheel base.

No way I would want to tow that much weight with that truck. WAY too short of a wheelbase. Way too much weight. Way too little brakes. Way too weak transmission. Way too little of a truck/frame.

That is a bit much. That truck has the drum brakes in the rear, and the trans in a little weak like Sydwayz said.

Trade on a 2006 3/4 ton Suburban or Yukon XL with the 8.1 liter. No problem, give you 12,000 towing capacity, plus 4wd..
