how many of you guys are towing with a turbo diesels and a manual trans

Low gear in manuals can pull alot more weight. Autos for traffic though.

I've towed with manuals for the past 30 years. Boats, car trailers, construction equipment, you name it... First gas, then diesels.. I WAY prefer them for towing over an auto. Much more control over your shift points, the low gear kickz ass, and economy wise the are an easy 3 - 4 mpg better than the auto's.. I will admit to having an auto in my new F350 diesel however.. (Not really by choice, I destroyed my kneee a few years back and the clutch was undoing the surgery and 8 months of therapy...) It's OK, especially in the tow mode, but I miss my stickshift.. Especially at the ramp..
