Subwoofer in an '06 silverado crew cab
Anyone done this? How and where? I just got all the kinks out of the head unit, amp, speaker, sirius equipment. Now it's time to get some bass in there somewhere. I'm running a 5 channel amp so it's basically finding a home for a 10" sub.

JL Audio Stealthbox.
At first, I didn't think it would have the output or clarity I was looking for. I was wrong. I have one in my Excursion- it goes inside the console. Driving it on 200w from the bass section of a 5-ch PPI. I can only run it at about 2/3rds. $$$$$ though.

Martin,
I'm a little confused, are you in a full 4 door or an extended cab?

If you're a 17 year-old metal head or into gangsta rap, the Stealthbox isn't going to loosen your fillings. If you want clean natural sound, it works quite well. A 200 watt amp pushing a 10" sub right next to your seat is overwhelming at max volume.

They aren't cheap but there's something to be said for an ultra-high-quality product that gives you a drop-in installation

I have done custom and pre fab box's a single vented 10 or 12 works on cloth int. but with leather I have to down fire or modify the seat back all are very clean always use a bass control knob all go behind the seat and I also remove the flap

Re: Subwoofer in an '06 silverado crew cab
that box is listed to '05. I take it fits '06 as well. I already have 2 10" RF's and 7252 Kenwood amp w/remote contols.
what kind of $ for that 10" crew box?

You could also do a seat base lift, drop a couple of 12"s down or up firing sealed.
