Default 16 vs 16.5 wheels

Ive got a deal on a set of 16.5's weld racing rims for my f350. A couple of friends say dont get 16.5's for 2 reasons

1. tire selection
2. the bead doesnt stay well (he says under 15psi you can break the bead)

I want BFG 35 x 12.50 x 16.5's so selection is fine, but what about the other. Are 16.5's ok?

he is right but, check with your local tire if you want different tire size or brand good luck on choices.

Tire mfg.s are fazing out 16.5 tires and you can get comparable sizes in 16s with more brand options.
