When I get cut, I bleed Ford blue.

Having said that, I will say this is the ugliest truck they have ever, and I mean ever produced. I don't care how many improvements they made that thing is ugly.

I saw it coming and bought an 06 to last me until they realize ugly doesn't sell and give the outside a redesign.

Sorry. it has to be said.

God dang, I want so bad to see it but I just can't.

I go out of my way to do everything Ford. I move my boats around with a Restored Ford tractor, I use only Ford engines in my boats, I even own Ford stock just to be a supporter (That is beyond loyalty right now).

I have been getting new trucks every other year since 1990. I even looked past the 87-91 "block face" trucks. But I just cant do it this time.

The "Griswald Look" is actually very accurate, I wish I thought of it first.

IMHO Ford's turn around has to start with good design. Look at the new GM products, pretty decent stuff. It doesn't cost any more $ to build an attractive vehicle than an ugly vehicle.

What happened with the Tonka design? That was a winner. They are obviously capable, right? My only hope now is that the product cycle turns around faster than their historical 5 year run.

Other than that, looks like a very capable truck.

Here a couple truck engines

On 34" centers to boot. You don't something like this unless you are extremely loyal or certifiable. Yes I am sure someone like GLH will pounce on that one

I have not driven big p/ups hardly at all. Only a hand full of X 4 short distances. I hope 2 find out cuz I am seriously think'n bout 1 after the test ride in the 350!

I can't wait to see a new F-450 in person. I think that it was a great idea by Ford to offer this truck with a bed right from the factory. In 2002 I got an F-450 cab and chassis and went thought the Ford dealer to add the bed from an aftermarket company. At the time I was towing a Gladiator (7800 pounds plus trailer) and that truck ran down the highway like the boat was not even there!

I sold that truck in 2004 when I got the Apache because this boat weighs just over 21K pounds with the trailer and that 2002 F-450 was only rated for 17,200 pounds (gooseneck). I ended up going with a medium duty Peterbilt to tow the Apache, but this new 2008 F-450 with the 24K pound rating has me thinking hard. It will legally handle the boat and could be a daily driver all in one.

I just want to wait a bit to see how people like them because I really don't want to be the first to own a new truck. I have two friends that have both ordered 2008 F-450s, so I will check them out when they come in. It looks to be a great truck though!
