Convert your hitch to a pintle....then you will be able to kill it...possibly then you would be in trouble if the trailer ever came around due to no breaks.....I like pintles on everything compared to balls for heavy stuff and on the gas

i agree pintle is the way to go..............Then like birdman said it cant jump of the hitch....

use the mack.........Thr paint almost matches

If you are concerned about the trailer coupler jumping off the ball, invest in one of these:

I had one special made by this company to fit over my thicker than normal drawbar. It works well. Their video is compelling. I don't tow without it installed.

It's not the ball that fails, it's the coupler. I had the biggest, baddest screw-down coupler on my Cig and it twisted it up like aluminum foil. If a pintle fails, all hope is lost- none of it is going to make it.
