Default i/2 ton to tow 11,000lbs

fords new f150 towes , 11,000 lbs does anybody think this is safe .and sane ? why do we need to buy 3/4 tons for ? can't wait to here the answers for this . robbie

Don't know about the new model but towed a 10000 lbs boat (well balanced on the trailer) with a 2004 GMC 1/2 ton sierra for a whole summer(not even functionnal brakes on the trailer) and I had no problem at all. I could even set the cruise control on at 75 mph and it would not even downshift from the overdrive! 5.3 liter engine. NICE truck!

A half ton to tow that much... in 6 month it'll look like Whitney Houston after a few years on crack...

It'll tow it fine. Comes with extra airbags too......the stopping tends to set them off!!!

byrd that what the tv add from ford said tonight it could tow 11,000 yea right .
