Side or Rear Tow Vehicle Exhaust Outlet
My tow vehicle has a rear facng exhaust ('07 gasoline engine with cats). Is it worth changing it to a side outlet to keep the exhaust off the front of the boat? Sometimes exhaust can be corrosive, so if necessary I'd rather change it than worry about the boat finish, if that's in fact really an issue. Let me know.

As the airflow passes your truck, it's drawn into the low pressure area behind the vehicle. It's going onto your boat no matter where you exit it. Your '07 gas motor should have exceptionally low exhaust emissions. If your boat is waxed, that should be the least of your worries. You'll get way more damage from road debris. If you really want to protect it, get a nose bra. Basically a cover that fits on the bow and covers the sides & bottom back to the keel.

Make it tight so that it will not flap in the wind. I had these covers made just for that purpose, to protect the boats while traveling. I have not had one made for the Apache yet, but I will before I have it painted. Here are some pics.
