You and Jazz are right, the response from the new 3 valve V10 is overwhelmingly positive. It'll be fine for my needs.

The V-10 is extremely soft on resale so the 6-6500k savings will be offset. I like the V-10 but prefer the 6.4 diesel for it's overall capabilities. Good Luck, and talk with Matt, he'll take care of you. Jeff
What he said!!

I have heard the newer v-10's are better, spark plug problem-fixed, better towing-fuel consumption. But you can't beat the diesel. The $6400 upgrade is a 10k plus when you sell; it's almost an investment.
That one long upgrade will get you very time!!!lol

If you're a regular in this forum, you'd have probably seen the diesel vs. gas thread where Indy was trying to make that decision- last week or do.

I am looking at V-10 F-250, everyone that has a diesel has constant engine problems I don't need that head ache I don't tow very far but with the new truck I won't be afraid to go places and I will feel more safer doing it

No V-10. Go diesel all the way.

Constant engine problems??? I have logged almost a 1/2 milllion miles on 4 Ford diesels since 98', with several different drivers, and have not had any engine problems. Diesels are made to tow/haul with very little maintenance and have substantially more torque, and will outlast gas engines every time. I don't know who you are talking to, but the new diesels from GM & Ford are exceptional motors with very few problems. I prefer the Powerstroke; drive a new one & you will be sold!
