Default Boat shipping from South Florida to Chicago

Trying to get a rough idea on how much it would cost to ship a 29 foot boat from South Florida to Chicago area. Boat has no trailer, but would be transfered to a trailer here. Any info would be very helpful.

Thanks

average cost is 2.50-3.00 a mile...do you know exactly how many miles it is? Bgchuby01 i believe he transports boats all the time...would get more hits if this thread was in the transportation section instead of general boat discussion.

This time of year you will probably find a decent deal if you can wait until a shipper is taking a boat there. Lots of boats will be heading for Florida for the winter and shippers would probably be willing to cut you somewhat of a deal instead of coming back empty.

The rate with your own trailer can vary from 2.00 to 2.25 per mile. If you need a trailer for your boat the hauler would add about 50cents per mile for the use of his trailer since he has to take the trailer back to southern florida . If you have any other questions feel free to call me at 909-*********

where's yours coming from in Fla. ?

We are looking for a return trip , and I may be able to arrange to have an empty trailer coming back for your boat.

I have not gone down to look at it yet, just trying to see if it's worth the additional shipping cost first.
Looks to be about 1347 miles

Thanks

Tug Boat towing does a lot of work for Shogren and has trucks running to Florida all the time. Call Dan 847-809-7110
