a)It's the holiday season, and people are directing their funds towards other things this time of year.
b)The Excursion is a 'cult' vehicle, and its buying base is relatively small. The Ex met its death from the complaining tree-huggers about the size and poor gas mileage (nothing ever publishied by the Sierra Club about the diesel except for its emissions). I get flipped off by Prius drivers all the time in mine- I have nearly made a hood ornament out of a few.
c) The 6.0L engine got such a bad rep in the first year that it carried throught the other 2 years of its install in the Ex. Folks are directing their search towards low mileage 7.3's (from what I can gather over at the dieselstop.com), and even those aren't moving real well unless priced at book value or less. The dealers know they aren't being made anymore and are pricing the diesel Ex above book in most cases.
Good luck on your sale- price it as low as you can stomach, and it will move. I absolutely love the diesel Excursion, and know that Ford will never make anything like it again. If I had the money, I'd buy a second one with the lowest mileage I could find and pickle it in storage until I wear this one out. That would keep me in my favorite truck until I take a dirt nap.......

Just offered a GM guy at SEMA to buy the Suburban they had there..(Duramax, HD truck front end, all leather and decked out, K-2500...) He said I couldn't register it. On the other hand, he did say that the Suburban will be delivered with the new Duramax. It was one awesome truck the one they had there, but it was just a concept unfortunately..
