How to buy an $7K to $11K car for $2,500

I picked up another Porsche 928. The owner of the self storage place did a repo on it and was thinking of keeping it himself. He could not get it started and neither could a mechanic friend of his. So he thought like many old Porsche + no start= big bill. First thing I checked and after confirming my kept internal thought. I offered him $2,500 and took home the car!

Can you see whats wrong?

Great buy I've been pondering picking up one of those and installing a custom LS-2/L92/L76 in it.

Bought an Alfa Romeo that way about 15 years ago. Car was complete but a new fuel pump was not connected correctly. I paid $213.50 plus a tow home. 12 was tax, 1.50 was a battery fee and my $200 Alfa Milano went home. The car was running within 20 minutes of it being dropped in my driveway. Of course 21 minutes later I realized it needed a master cylinder, a pair of valve cover gaskets and an exhaust system.........................

Typical Alfa... Still great cars though. Lot's of cool 80's cars on the market currently. The friend who told me about this one, was paying me back for giving him a lead on a 87' 911 targa white with tan leather 180K miles $10,500. Trick though is don't buy unless you or a friend know the little quirks on what your looking at. I saw and I'm sure its gone 1991 500SL Mercedes for $6,500 firm. Left a message but no return call.

I sold the gold 85' 5spd and the red S4 in the summer.

The original owner left the wrench. The guy who sold it and his mechanic could'nt find the fuse box! Passenger side floor.
