The word on the street is that the first batch of cars are already bringing MSRP + 20K!!!!. Good luck trying to find one at a reasonable price.

dealers are going to do the same thing they always do...gouge the shiiiiiit outta anyone that will allow it and then when Dodge makes more then they originally said they were going to...the dealers are going to have there hands on there azzzzzzz's trying to unload the merchandise. It happened with the Prowler, the initial SRT-8 line, and Ford also did it with the T-Bird...the manufacturer should brutalize any dealer caught selling for over list...Harley finally did it and look at them now...instead of waiting 6 months and paying over list now you can walk into any dealer, get what you want AND get a nice discount.

already spoke with couple local dealers here in Jersey and they said any customer not paying over list will never see the car...one of the dealers is waiting to get an actual Vin# for a car there allocated then there going to advertise it and hold an auction

Most manufacturers do not allow it. On the other hand, why should the dealer sell it for MSRP, and allow the customer to make $10-20k on Ebay?

I've never seen a manufacturer come down on a dealership for charging over sticker. With the Ford GT, dealers were charging as much as $50k over sticker and people were paying it. If the market is there then why can't the dealer do it? They are a business and entitled to make a profit.
MSRP is just that, Manufacturers SUGGESTED Retail Price, doesn't say The Price and No More. Dealers can charge whatever they want.
We've got 5 in the bank right now, none of them have been picked up. I haven't talked to a dealer yet who's had their orders get picked up, probably won't happen til after the first of the year. Dodge opened ordering 3 months ahead of when they normally would just to gauge their production quota. Rumor has it the first run is between 5000 & 8000 cars.
Leo, I'll see what I can do about scanning the pics for you.
