Default Performance upgrades for a Cummins Diesel?

Just got my new truck. It has a Cummins ISC 330 HP in it. Anyone know of any performance upgrades? Programmers, chips, turbos etc? I see lots of stuff for the 5.9 but not mine.

SCT is going to be one of the best programmers for it, and they had an ad out looking for people to help develope them so you my get one for free. They retail for about $700 with the egt probe. They will email you maps from time to time have you try them and report.

I have the SCT and love it. I managed to get it slammed in the door and broke the glass on it and they said to send it back and they'd transfer my tunes for me into a new one. good company, quick response to any emails too.

I have a whole host of stuff done to and on my truck.

Absolutely BY FAR my favorite power adding mod has been a programmer called the Smarty.
Adjustable from 30 to 230 HP, the thing is just amazing. It is made by a company that used to just reprogram ECM's, they are called MADS electronics.

www.dieseltruckresource.com The only place you will need to be for Cummins questions.

A "rule of thumb" that many of us use is anything that increases your hp by over 100hp will probably cause transmisson and turbo issues. I have an Edge chip which works good for my application and I haven't had any problems. Banks is a quality product but expensive. Read the diesel sites, decide what application you need for your use and go for it--good luck. Once you put a programmer or chip in remember" you are your own warranty station".

gino, be careful otherwise you could void the warranty of the engine. your motor is good the way it is.
