I got mine with the 4.30 rear........don't know milage yet.
Bought it just for Fl. trips.......pulling my bikes or boat and
havn't gone yet. I think if you're looking for milage..buy a
Honda.

I bought an 08 F250 swr FX4 6.4, I traded an 05 F350SRW. This is the nicest, best driving truck I've had.. No complaints here!

Just yanked out the 488s and putting 430s in my F-450 2WD. Will advise if milage gets any better. Should drop the r's by 3-400. Right now running 75MPH its turning 2750 which I think is too much.

I just took mine to Daytona from Charlotte I only got 8.1 mpg with the 4.88 gears. But when I put the 22.5 big wheel kit with 255's (which is about 36.5") that should help a little. Hey it's a 4wd dually F-450 that's what you should expect to get.

You should expect 13-14 empty and 8-10 pulling. REMEMBER it is a PICK-UP truck not an 18 wheeler. UPS trucks get 7 pulling 80.000 pounds.
