Default APCO Extended warrantees

The dealership is trying to sell me an APCO extended warrantee. Anyone have any experience with them and if they take care of issues quickly and pay the bills?

If its who I think it is they suk. I had a customer last year come to me with transmission problems on his f-250,after multiple faxes and telephone calls they gave me approval to remove the transmission for inspection. After tearing it down and finding it was heavily damaged, they would only pay up to 600$ towards a rebuild or a remanned unit or they could provide a used unit plus a very minimal rxr labor MINUS 100$ deductible plus customer had to pay for fluids. On the rxr labor they would only pay some rediculous hourly rate too (mine is not that high but still higher then what they would pay). I ended up telling them if they could find a equal low mile 4r100 trans for 600$ to go a head and send it. The trans showed up and the pan was smashed in,prndl swith was broken, shift linkage bent, internally the manual valve linkage was screwed up. I fixed the problems the used trans had just to make it go away. I will NEVER work with a aftermarket warranty company again,I'll starve first.
I tell my customers if your going to buy a extended warranty get one that is thru the oem that will replace your parts (like a transmission) with a factory remanned unit, there fine print on the 2nd or third page gave them the "option" of providing USED parts, total bs,Smitty

I have no experience with apco. Let me know if you want a price on a Ford Ext warrenty. Just get me the term you want. The dealer should be able to provide you with this, but some guys just wont offer them.

I got them to give me the Ford ESP warrantee for the same money as the other $1895 for 5 years 100,000 miles with car rental on day 1. It was their highest coverage.

APCO is based in Ga. and is the largest extended warranty company in the world. They pay standard labor rate at your normal cust pay rate and MSRP on parts. Up until recently they were owned by Ford, but were sold back to the original owners recently.
