Synack, on my previous generation Yukon XL (2001), and still with my Excursion, I actually use a 2" drop flipped so that it has a 1" rise. Everything is level like that. Here is the one I have...

I just measured the height of the receiver. Top inside edge of the receiver is roughly at 26 inches from the ground. Figuring a 2" tongue weight drop and 18" trailer height then the drop would need 6" drop mount.

doubt you need a 6 inch drop man seriously get like a 2" i have a gmc 3500 with a 3inch body lift and a 8 inch pro comp lift and only need a 10 inch drop hitch you really dont need 6 inches jack your trailer up to where it would normally ride level back your truck up to it and see how far off you are, im still looking for the drop hitch i need there so expensive luckily its cold here so i dont need it yet ive just used the fork lift to get it on the truck for moving it around a lil

I also have a 07 2500 Suburban. All of my trailers, boat and utility have a level 14" hitch height. I use a 9" drop hitch to keep the trailer level. The receiver height on the 07 2500 burb is 23". The news gets better. The 07 receiver is integrated into the frame and bumper and is only a 5,000# class III. You are out of luck on a Class 5 receiver upgrade. I have searched for over a year and as far as I know there is no after market Class IV or Class V receiver upgrade for the 2007 Chevrolet Suburban. Since this was my third Suburban I didn't pay close attention to the fine print and got screwed on the towing capacity. All today's buyer cares about is "style" and don't give a crap about towing. Would be as well off and get a better ride with a 1500.
