I have had real good luck with Goodyear trailer tires, I think they are called marathon ?....

Marathon is probably the all-around best choice. You can get commercial trailer tires in 16 but they're pretty expensive and not really worth it unless you're doing regular long-distance towing ona very large boat.

You need ST-rated tires unless you like wander & sway.

Goodyear Trailer Tire, LT235-85R-16, Radial Load Range-E

that is the standard tire for a 38 to 40 foot boat on a myco. great tire with few failures

Do not use Bridgestone or Firestone. (same company)

ST is "special trailer". They have a much stiffer sidewall. LT is "light truck".

most of the ones I see are LT

I've used 187 series Bridgestone (commercial L/T) tires on a couple of trailers and had excellent luck with them with no failures,,,,but they are kind of pricey.
