Default Anyone use these brakes?

Anyone use the high performance disk brakes from Dexter? I am considering these brakes for my Dexter axles and curious if anyone else uses them. They will be on a freshwater trailer.

I have looked at Kodiak also. I can get the Dexter brakes local. Just cant find any comparisons/tests between the two...the kodiaks are a single piston actuator and the Dexters are a quad piston actuator with floating rotor. Seems like the Dexter would have more stopping power. Both are e-coated that I am looking at but the kodiak has a stainless piston.

Default Is it disc vs. drum or surge vs. hydralic

Is it the electric over hydraulic brake system vs surge brakes that gives the most trailer stopping improvement?....or is it the disc brakes vs. drum? What % improvement would you credit to each upgrade? Would you do both? Why?
I am considering switching out my surge/drum brake system this winter. I currently do not have much issue towing a 11-12,000 lbs trailer and boat (tri-axle aluminum trailer with drum brakes on two axles). The surge and drum system actually works ok to good. My towing and boating is done in all fresh water with mostly short tows but some freeway time.
I am looking for improvement, not perfect.

I am converting over to the electric over hydraulic system. I have my 6K pound axles and springs ordered, just wondering what would be a better brake.
