Thought about upgrading my truck with a dual wheel kit tires,axils but some of the insane prices I have seen some of the 08 trucks makes me think about selling mine and getting new one,fresh warrantys more power,my truck with only 51k miles is still worth something i think,will have to sell it outright trade value is rough right now with the dealers offering blowout pricing,I found a new 08 f450 lariat 4door,4 wheel drive,loaded to the hilt,list 58k can buy for 43k,the similar 08 gm products that listed in the low 50 were being blowout pricing around 37-38k,the gm products seem to be sold out,I have located a few but all sold quick,all 09 trucks a lot more,not as much rebates

Best thing you can do for these trucks, that emission crap is choking them. Much better mileage, lower egt's, and ton more power.

Spartan has a couple of programs written that allow you to keep the cat and dpf and should cure your problems, as far as warranty,,,ANYTHING as far as actual performance CAN void your warranty,,so you reload the stock programming back in the truck before your warranty visit,

Keep the 7.3 Or you will regret it when your 08 gets in the 50 to 60 thousand mile arena. We have 9-550's 6.4's service body's. Wish we kept the 7.3's around. 6.4 are a great truck when they are running. Have an 08 blown up in the back lot, Ford wants 15 grand to do repairs. We are going to look into a total engine swap? Its know wonder Ford and International are no longer doing business together, Ford is going broke on warrenty repairs. Keep the 7.3

I have almost 20,000 miles on my 08 F450, no issues other than fuel milage is lousy. All my driving is hauling boats. Usually aroung 10,000lb boat on my tri axle trailer. Might look into the Spartan programmer though. After my 03 6.0 blew apart at 177,000 miles I went with the extended warranty on this one though.

I was in getting my 08 ford F-450 fixed yet again whence I noticed on the wall a 200K warrenty available. I will be getting this for sure. Its hard to change to the factory programmer when you are on the back of a Tow Truck from the freeway to the dealer.......again.......again
