I have almost 30K on mine as well. I just took it to the ford dealer for a service bulletin where they reflashed it and replaced a radiator hose coupling and it gets about 2 mpg better now.

I haven't had mine reflashed yet, to my knowledge anyway, but I have to take it in for a service bulletin thing so maybe I'll have it reflashed then.

I am at 13.4 mpg...90% city driving..had 1 flash, truck runs excellent. 25k miles and the more I drive it the mpg keep getting better.

2 radiators, towed off the freeway twice, high pressure fuel pump, engine electrical short, rear main oil leak, current oil leak....buy the extended warrenty..you will need it. 08 F450 fuel pig

I have a 08 F-450 King Ranch with only 12k miles and no problems so far. The only thing is the MPG is terrible. city is around 10, highway 12 other than that its a GREAT truck.....

Thanks for all the responses guys. What started me looking at new rigs was we recently towed my Cig with a buddies '06 F350 SRW 4X4 6.0. I was thoroughly impressed with the ride and towing. Even got around 17.5 mpg coming home without the boat (according to the trip computer. Probably was a little worse than that).

I've heard reports all over the spectrum about the 6.4's from love to hate. Just makes me a tad nervous when the info is about 50/50 good to bad. Even some of the die-hard Ford people aren't really ecstatic about the new motor.

08' F450 with 4:88 gets about 8-9 mpg with 52K miles.
Replace the front diff, transfer case, radiator, Fuel pump twice. Been standed and towed at lest 4 times with boat, wide load, not fun.
Its for sale!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don, go buy a clean used '07 with a 6.0 if you're worried about the new motor. Probably get one for half of what a new truck would cost. Thats the way I would go if I was in the market right now.
