Default Any Mustang GT People around, Exhaust Question??

Just got the wife a 2008 GT, and want to upgrade the exhaust(Just the axle back, not going to mess with anything else due to warranty), I love the sound of a flowmaster, but want stainless steel, and if I am going to do that, may want a straight thru type vs. Chambered, and possibly a Cold Air Intake, A lot of choices out there, just Looking to see y'alls suggestions.

Thanks,

Rick

I have the SLP Loudmouth's on my 05 GT. I really like them but exhaust tone is a personal choice. There are sound clips on some various mustang forums like http://forums.bradbarnett.net/ or http://forums.stangnet.com/ or http://www.allfordmustangs.com/. These are the ones I frequent. There is a lot of info to be found there. I also have the Ford factory DVD repair manual 2007-2008.

Oh and the SLP's if you use the loud peddle you will know it. I did go with the Hurst shifter over the OEM. Let me know if I can be of help.

I just had another thought. Wheel hop. Have you experienced it yet? Changing the rear lower control arms just about cures it. I have had the Edelbrock ones for two years now. Just an FYI.

I was thinking about the loudmouths, but it is the wifes car, and she is an elementary school teacher, I cant make her pull into school with it that loud I am leaning towards something like the Borla's, or FRPP, but dont really wanna spend that much, Pypes has a 304 polished chambered for like $300.

Havent experienced wheelhop yet, but havent really tried either, the car had 100 miles on it when we picked it up 3 weeks ago, and still has less than 1000, I will wait til at least after the first oil change to run it too hard.

I work at a Ford dealership and one of the dept I oversee is Ford Racing. Their brand new exhaust, M-5230-S, is really a nice piece. It was used on the FR500S spec race car last year in the Miller Motorsports Series. SLP makes great products, but the Loudmouth is LOUD....

I think retail is 599.00. If you want one I can hook you for like 525.00...
