My new 05 EX
almost finished my new 05 EX still have to do the 4 inch turbo back exhaust ,S&B intake , Gauges and maybe Airbags in the back. i took off the 5.5 inch fabtech lift kit and installed X code springs with one leaf shim from an icon leveling kit and blocks in the back with a modified spring Ranchero 9000 in the back and RSX' in the front 35's on 20x 10 rubbs just a little if you turn all the way. Looks really good. I am in the process of researching Excursions a little bit, as I need a new truck. I know practically zero about Fords since I have been a GM guy all my life. The Excursion however fits a very practical bill, especially when you have something heavy to tow. One better, there are quite a few out there and they seem to be priced reasonably.
In '05 did they have the 6.0 or the 7.3?

tony stamis, have you had any problems with coolant coming out of the reserve tank near the firewall? AKA puking?

Still can't believe GM won't offer the diesel for the Suburban, the new trucks are so nice and comfy but they've made them pussified mommy mobiles. Can do a Duramax swap but it will cost you an arm and leg when all is said and done.
