I don't understand why he is being so rude to people that are just cautioning him on what he just did. If he truely does have a class A license then he should know that you need a permit for every state. He got lucky. That being said he made it and he is happy about his new boat.

For those of you that are defending this AZZ. Have you read the entire thread? Goast is the one who after hearing one neg responce started naming names and calling people stupid. The part about the stupid permits is debatable but his actions and the way he responded to an open forum is disgraceful and immature. He should appollogize to all who he insulted and called names as publicly as he put them down. His trip is not the subject of the problem here, glad he made it and congrats on his new ride. The problem is his attitude and mouth. Why should we have to take his crap and look the other way. Who is he anyway, who cares? Nothing but selfishness and arrogance in my opinion. "F" him and anyone who supports that type of action!

The road trip was ok, I bought flags and oversize load sighns and had no problems with cops i had a permit for NY and just passed all the weigh stations. I rubbed the toll booths in Indiana and was not alllowed on the Ohio turnpike and finally broke the flags off on the Nys booths. Thats from my first post. I put that there so FIREBOATARD could read it again. He claims that i was bragging about being some kind of road rebel breaking all the laws. (I dont see any bragging) I put the post up to let a few guys that were intrested in my trip know how it went, thats all. Then Hay Jay starts by saying im selfish and have no regard for the law and this trip was unsafe and horribly planned and he has a trucking bussines (That dosent haul boats or even own one) that he pays fees to the DOT and does everyhting by the book. Then FIREBOATARD chimes in with "If you got pulled over you would be sitting there for a week" (reaserch the law before you make comments like that) and some other stupid stuff that makes no sense. Thats when i got mad and thats when i started insulting. Some of you guys may not think thats the best way to handle it, Buts that the way I deal with ignorant people.

Hey Goast, have you even read your own thread? Look back and see who the first person to get ignorant and start insulting people was. YOU! When Hey Jay was concerned with other drivers safety you called him stupid among other names. As far as your concerned you where acting safely? Even when your driving along with one akle tied up with a binder lessening the trailers weight capacity and braking ability? Doesn't sound too safe to me. Your still proud of the fact that you beat the system on those permit fees I bet. Why do you think states require oversize load permits anyway? Do you think that if you had an accident that your insurance co would have covered you while operating illegally? Why not call them up and ask? WHy not call the DOT up and let them know how their permits are not needed because you managed to make the trip without them. Tell them about your class A licence and see how long they let you keep it. Many a proofessional driver has lost their licence for some stupid acts like yours. I am interested in the law that you seem to know about what the penilty would have been if you had been caught? You think a ticket and you would be on your merry way. I and others think not, I know first and for sure. Taken off the road under escort and held until legal, as well as fines and tickets. I wonder how much Judge Buford in Bumfuct MO would have let you gip down the fines. You from out of state and all. Big New York man. Your ignorance is amazing! Still you insult people and justify your actions and insults. Are you the same when it comes to boating and boating laws and common sence? I bet your the guy that wakes everyone and hates it when it's done to you. Are all your safety items up to date, licence, reg, ins? You seem like the type of guy that cuts the corners off of what ever rules and requirements that you don't think are important. It will all catch up to you some day. Luckily all the people you passed along the way across the country survived your ignorance this time. 3 out of 6 tires driving on the road at any speed is unsafe period. Akle chained up is unsafe period. No permits for such a long trip is just stupid. I notice that you did get the NYS permit knowing they could take your prescious licence had you been caught in NYS. SMART!

if you call every DOT in the states that he had to pass through, they would tell you you the same as they told me the other day," You do need to have a permit flags and oversize signs and if you are off th interstates there are different restrictions and routes you have to travel, but if you really get down to the really dont bother you if you and beeing sfe and not speading." I persnally used haul heavy-epuipment and the is no way aroung that. but with boats there is. i have taken a 11' beam boatfrom buffalo to delray beach fl and had no problems i was even pulled by troopers just to let me know that i had a tire go flat. if you or anyone else you know owns a bussiness and has there boatregersrterd under the buisness name, and yoou use to take clients out for lunch, fishing ,boat rides...etc. that boat need to follow all DOT regs. and nomatter what you pull it with even an audi if your GVWR is over 18,000 lbs. the driver of the tow vehicle must have at least a CDL C liscense. Trust me been there down that. anyways his trip was a sucsesand the we no problans so why dont yu all just let it and move and to something else like whos got the fastest smallest boat or something.. Peace Out

You said it yourself fireBOATARD HAyjay was concerned about the "safety" of others, BS he just wanted to make a comment. Thats a insult to me There was nothing unsafe about the trip. And just so you know i called progressive insurance and they told me a wreck with or with out a permit would be covered even if it was fatal. So there goes that theory for you. And as far as the tires go when Im not even a 100 miles from home and there are no tires available its not "unsafe" to go slow with a axle chained up ask any of your boating friends (If you have any) if they ever smoked a bearing or blew a tire, and if there not panzis like you im sure they had to do the same thing if they wanted to make it were they were going. If I was 2,000 miles from home i would have spent the night and got the tires. So read the first post again Mr Alzheimers and you will see that i drove 35 mph to ensure i would make it home, AND I DID. As far as the insulting goes, believe it or not if you knew me im one of the nicest guys you would ever meet. But when i get insulted by someone telling me without me asking them that i was unsafe and should warn them when im on the road forget im not nice anymore. I dont care about your fellings or if i personally insulted you. Im sorry it had to get this far. But when you come at me watch out because i comeback with both barrels firing :waffe n093:

Default What A Joke!

Hey FIREBOATPILOT; I think you need to put on some cause you sure are starting to stink of stupidity! Can I ask you a question buddy; why do you care so much about something like arguing over the internet on a forum with some guy over something that didn't effect your life in any way, shape, or form??? For me personally I can think of about twenty million better things i'd rather do....It seems that you disagree with how this man dealt with towing a boat across the country....WOW....how much time have you wasted typing responses and objections to the way this man towed the boat???? ! Seems to me like you need to get laid....maybe you could talk to some girls on the internet...hey if you run out of things to talk about, you can tell her all about "the guy who towed a boat from las vegas to buffalo, ny"....I'll tell you one thing you wont be telling yourself after that conversation...

Now you know why we all have lifted trucks out here!

Man, I thought winter was over! What a bunch of drama.

What I want to know is did you have your Lifeline jacket and lanyards on while you were towing?
