Yea ok you're a Ford guy that's cool. You just keep buying those POS Powerstrokes and stay in the shop.

Chuck I hope you get your problems straightened out but reading this thread makes me think Ford is not gonna help you unless you take them to court. If you don't get satisfaction that way this site can help;

I'd love to see the stats on this!

Granted, nobody makes a real 450 competitor, but most don't need more than the 350/3500, and if so an International etc is probably a better choice. Any comparison I've read says go D-max, but I'm biased.

I just saw this thread. I am so sorry you are having these problems! Something has to be going on with this truck and it should be "fixable." I would be glad to trade with you. I don't have any in stock right now but could find one for you. The trucks are normally great. I think your dealer could go to bat for you. If you send me your v.i.n. I will pull a warranty history and contact our rep for you. I am not sure how or if we can do anything since we have never seen it????? Our reps are pretty good about taking care of our customers the best they can but since you aren't "our" customer, I don't know? My email is: matcraymond@yahoo.com or cell is: 910-787-4101
I appreciate your offer Matt. The vin number on the truck is 1FTXW43R98EA60730. I don't think I would buy another F-450 or 6.4 motor product. I am not real impressed with how they treat their customers. The only product I may consider would be a used F-650 with the Cat motor. I really like the truck you just sold GL, but as you may know the car business isn't the best right now(for me anyways), and I don't want to spend that kind of coin on a truck right now. Anything you could do with the Ford reps would be greatly appreciated and feel free to run some 650's by me (2 door Crews).

Well there was no contact from the dealer or from Ford. I guess they were serious about halting work until I provide the service records. I put all the repair orders together tonite and will hand deliver them tommorow. I will keep everyone posted as to Fords response.

I can tell you from personal experience that GM is just as bad. I have a 2500HD POS that was in the shop more than it was in my garage at home! Got nowhere with their lackluster customer support system. In their surveys they sent, I would alway write "let me put it in financial terms, I will buy approx 15 more new vehicles during my lifetime for my wife and I. At ~$30,000 per vehicle, that is nealy one half million dollars of my money that YOU will not get". They always responded with "thank you for your survey response, we are glad that you are pleased with your GM product and we look forward to serving in the future" ... they never even read the damn thing, oviously.
