My LBZ got avg of 18 w/ mods. My LMM w egr, dpf, pcv delete running custom EFI Live tow tune is getting 17 all around. I got 12.5 towing my boat to and forth from the Emerald Coast PR from TX I jumped on the scales on the way out and Grossed 23,800. The power is incredible and averaged 75-80mph w 35" tall tires. Whatever Duramax you own I highly recommend Nick at duramaxtuner.com setting you up w a custom tune, his tunes dont even compare to out of the box tuners. It depends alot on how you drive too, I guess if I wanted I could reach 20mpg's

89 Fountain Lightning / Rubber Ducky
Just ran the numbers on RT trip to Baltimore from Kansas City Mo, the truck got 14.5 mpg there and back. Obviously getting better mileage on the way out without the boat on the trailer. Just thought i would throw that out there.....

currently running an 06 GMC Duramax LLY, crew short box. have just shy of 100,000 on it, bone stock with K & N air filter. pulling a 35 lighting. Thinking they started building the LLY's Sept 05' and on....

When I had my 05 duramax I got 14.25 mi per gal towing or not.. My 09 6.0 Hd Gets about 10-12 mpg when in the city or towing & on my way to michigan a few weeks back without the trailer & got about 16 mpg with the 6.0... I like that the 6.0 Is a little better for me on fuel & still has some snot to it for pulling, but I do miss the extra torque of the 6.6 Duramax.. Jamie
