If you go to the Boss plow sight it says the same thing that my application does not fit the plow, I would assume it is the weight of the diesel and suspension on the front is not up to DOT minimums with the plow attatched, but you can beef up the front suspension pretty easy and they do make the bracket. No issues with mine what so ever in my 2009 LMM Duramax and it pulls my boat awesome.

My brother use to own a 7-11 in NJ, one winter he spent over $9,000 in plowing, my other brother owns a restaurant. I picked up used plow, $1,500.00, for my 1998 F150 and it saved him a TON of money! The one issue I found when shopping for a plow was that the frames change on the trucks and the plow has to fit the specific year/model of truck. Used plows can also double in price before the winter.
