Default Can a 2003 dodge ram 1500 tow a 36outlaw?

My buddy has a 36 outlaw and needed me to tow his boat to his parents house to drop it off, I told him I didn't know if I could do it or not I wanted to do some research first. Theoretically I've heard their not capable but I guess if I drive slow and just make sure I keep my distance from people can the 1500 tow the 36 outlaw? I don't really know how much they weigh and wanted to know if anyone has done it?

Tongue weight could have that thing dragging the ground......I hope you've only got a few miles of side roads to go.

No way...why ask for trouble? Boats are enough trouble without asking for it.

BTW...you probably wouldn't be covered from an insurance standpoint in the event of an accident, that means you're personally responsible. Nothing I'd be interested in.

Oh...it's nothing theoretical...just research the GVWR and you'll have your answer in a few minutes.

Yes a Ram 2500 will tow it. Leave plenty of room for stopping. You'll have at least 10,000lbs behind you.

Yes a 2500 Ram, and only a 2500 Ram is capable of properly towing a 36 Outlaw! Everyone knows that a Ford or GM product would be crushed by that beast ! You also should never use anything other than "Mercury" oil in your motor or it'll instantly throw a rod! Steve
