Default Best Truck Ford has Built

Just bought a new 250 for the business 19k miles ago and my 350 just came in.... man what a truck and overall improvement. These new trucks drive great, much smoother on the road, and the performance stock is like having a small tow chip installed...more than enough. Towing our 10-12k trailers has been way better than our last gen 6.4 Navistar and 6.6 Duramax. My truck has hill decent, built in Jake brake, where I can also manually shift gears or hold them when decelerating with a load down a grade, tow/haul and sway control..which by the way has saved my azz once..and works unbelievably. My mileage has been 19.2 at an average speed of 73mph with cruise on in relatively flat MS highways.. Around town I am averaging around 16, going from job to job. Interior improvements are as well nice, seats are more comfortable and the a/c and heated seats are a great welcome. Location and reach to the buttons has also improved. Nav and sync work flawless and makes hands free driving a must..especially in LA, a law no talking on cell phones. Back up screen is now in the large nav screen..easier on my old eyes. Ford has done their homework and a great job.. We also have a Duramax on order, my partner prefers GM's..as I use to, and I drove one before ordering. They have improved as well. Ive done a few mods, like I have done in past.. Leer 700 lid, window visors, and Bushwackers.. Today I get my GT 500 Mustang stripe kit put on.. Jeff

have some before and after shots.. even my lil buddy Bam Bam likes going for a ride..

Jeff, what size wheel/tire did you get. Also what gears 3:55?

I wonder how the 3:55's are for towing vs previous 3:73's in Ford and Gm rear ends.

On our 11, 250 6.5 bed with 19k miles with 3.73's is getting about 18.9-19.2 mpg on the same highways as my 350 pictured with 3.55 gears. The Longbed weighs more, has a 2" front leveling kit, lid and bushwackers...and only has 1k miles on her, not really broken in yet. both trucks have 20's and are getting close to the same mileage, I believe I will see better numbers on the larger truck and 3.55 gears as time goes by. If I had to order again I would go that way.. No real power loss per say, and when side by side, yes the slightly lighter 2500 pulls away, just about a truck length from 60 to speed limiter on the freeway..did it twice... Now compared to my 08 6.4 dooley and 07 Duramax dooley we are averaging 5 miles per gallon better. Best Ive seen on my dooleys were 15.6 for the Ford and 16.1 on the Duramax..which I dont really drive as much any more..

Awesome truck, man! The new 6.7L's are incredible, and the new Fords' ride and interior are top notch.

Fender flares are way too large, and I don't care for the backward lean of the grill, but I do like the silver on that truck. Your mileage with the 3.55 will improve quite a bit from what I've read. What's your speed at 2000rpms? I wonder if that's the threshold of poor fuel mileage in the 6.7 like most diesels...

The truck is amazing, eveything is better. Makes my 10K boat feel like a toy. If you haven't looked at one go to the dealer and check it out. Lots of toys with top notch performance, high tech meets brute strength. No need to chip unless you want to race. I like the 3.55 ratio. My only complaint is that the ride is softer than I prefer...but I'm going to change that.

I think I will wait a year or 2.....I dont have alot of faith in Fords diesel engines.....My 7.3 is still running great and pulling anything I have ever hooked to it..Stock...

I hope this is the one though !
