Well you must not have had the the 8/6/4 cyl. motor the new ones are. I don't know when Chrysler started building that feature but mine is the 2006 and it has it.

Maybe jassman knows...

Had a Jeep Wangler Rubicon that was lucky to see 11mpg with mostly city driving.
A 500lb vehicle, 6 cyl, WTH??
Better off driving a full size 3/4 ton desiel with all the bells and whistles and get almost twice the economy as the Jeep, and be comfortable too!

I'll never understand it

I was an o8 limited new off the lot. Died for the wife 3 times at about 65 going down the hiway. Chrysler couldnt figure out. 3rd time she said NO more. Bought a New 09 tahoe. Took a bath w the jeep and only bout 18k miles.
Tohoe LTZ gets better mpg AND has 6.2. Go figure

It seems I was off in my calculations. My wife has driven my 300 20 miles round trip to work the last two days. She had 3/4 tank when she started. It's at 1/2 tank now. 40 miles driven and 5gals used is 8mpg. So it's actually worse than I thought.

I'm sure it's better than GM's effort. The Hemi has been 8/6/4 for four years now and no recall that I know of.

Cat

Stop fvcking around with this. FILL THE TANK, RESET THE TRIP ODOMETER, DRIVE IT AND FILL THE TANK AGAIN. Divide the mileage by the gallons and you will quickly find out the real MPG. Doing the equation off the gas guage will get you nowhere!

If you wife drives 20 miles a day to work round trip, gas mileage shouldn't even be a consideration. That is 100 miles a week commuting, nothing in real world.
