Default Sound deadening mat / spray

I am going to replace the carpet and recover the seats in my Excursion and want to take some noise away. My plan it to strip it all out and Line X the whole thing inside then put Dyna Mat or something like it down then do the doors with the mat too. Any input good or bad would be great. Thanks.

I wouldn't bother doing line-x if you're going to put sound deadening and carpet on top of it. Check out some car audio forums. Lot of work involved in doing it right.

I agree, this is one of the cases where more isnt better. do the dyna-mat on the inside and if you are getting road noise, use a rubberized undercoating in the wheel wells or underneath, that will knock down road echos substantially.

Been thinking about this also. Don't forget you want to do all the way up the firewall too, especially if you have a diesel.

dynamat works well..I cant see why not the combo really working well to insulate noise.
