2011 Dodge/cummins or Chevy duramax
Thinking about selling my 99 f350 4x4 drw 7.3 (high miles and rust starting) and ordering a new Dodge cummins 3500 mega cab 4x4 drw or the Chevy/Duramax. I'd be towing my 10,000 lb 36 Skater pkg. sometimes 1000+ miles one way.
Any thoughts???

Dodge has great looking lines (fenders especially) and no urea injection/filler tank but every one of them is built in Mexico. They seem to be 10K cheaper than GM/Ford
GM has a great new truck with more power/greater towing for 2011 but has the bigger price tag and the hassle of the urea.

I would say Chevy but i cant afford any of them them either way.
They couldn't test the dodge because it didn't have enough towing capacity.

Where’s Ram?
If you were wondering where the Ram 3500 is in all of this, it wasn't included because these weights exceeded its 24,500 maximum GCWR by more than 2,500 pounds. It wouldn’t have been safe or responsible to test the truck in these conditions.

Selling your Ford, and not interested in a new one? The new 6.7 is supposed to be fantastic. If not that, then I would go with the Dodge because I just couldn't pull myself to purchase that UGLY ASS truck that General Motors puts out!

Still in stock form I have towed non stop (car hauling) over 16,000 miles towing aprox 20,000lbs with no problems. From denver to south carolina and everywhere in between so far. Installing H&S products soon!
The ride is better then the past, prob better then your ford. Equal to the new GM truck cause they stiffened them up. The coushined cab mounts help on the dodge.
The GM trucks are just outdated inside and out IMO.
Buy the Dodge Mega and enjoy!
