Default Anyone ever scrapped an aluminum trailer instead of selling it?

I have a Loadmaster aluminum trailer for my sonic. It's triple axle 37ft all in all. I got some quotes from manning for an upgrade and Would like to make some cash off this trailer to offset the cost. On line it looks like I could get somewhere between 4 and 5 out of it used but I wonder how long it will take to sale. Not sure how much all that aluminum weighs but it's got to be worth a pretty penny. Maybe 2-3k? Just fishing for thoughts here. If these trailers are easy and quick to sell I may just go that route instead.

I bet you wouldn't net $1000 in scrap total! Once you remove all the non aluminum (wood/steel axles/fenders) the two i-beams you have left aren't worth as much as you think.

Sell it complete.....

Exactly Jupiter or guys would be buying Alum trailers all day long & cuttin them up

but 1K ca$h from the scrap yard may be worth more then having to wait for 4K

I sell a lot of copper and aluminum scrap and I get between $1.45 to $1.65 a pound for aluminum currently. it does go up and down frequently.

I will keep you all in mind.....I havent placed my order yet. Trying to decide if I want to wait a season or not. Just trying to line out my financials for it ahead of time.
