Default Gmc 2500hd

I have a chance to purchase a 2003 2500HD Crew Cab 4x4 with a Duramax Diesel, Allison Transmission but I have to pull the trigger by tomorrow. Has 244000 miles on it. Trans was redone at 102000 miles and had new injectors 40000 miles ago. The owner is a friend of the family and it was very well maintain. The miles are Highway miles. He is going to trade it in on a new truck and the dealer is going to give him $11500.00. I can buy it for that. Any input will be appreciated. Going to look at it in a hour. Thanks.

Assuming the truck is loaded LT with everything that price is the low end of the market which is ok but not great deal.

The 03 power is good but the 06 LBZ Duramax is the start of the new design, current production, which is much better of a build. 06 has no exhaust emission junk, except for an egr, and all that other fuel robbing stuff starts in 07.

Good luck

Looked it up on KBB and NADA and both had it listed average retail with that kinda mileage up around 20000k. They only deducted like 3200k for the high mileage.

wouldn't do it. not a great price, lot of miles, even though the injectors have been replaced they seem to have a habit of going out again on that year model. Don't know why, theoretically they should be just as good as the current one's, but they don't seem to be.
