2011 f 350 tow ratings ???
 

What is the tow ratings on ford site mean . It lists so many different ones. Does it depend on how the truck is registered.
thinking f 350 srw short bed 4x4.diesel. When you build and price it says 12000. It is the same with the gas motor.

Ford breaks down the tow rating by wheel base, number of rear wheels and gear ratio. Then you have to look at the GCWR and know your GVW.
The rated towing capacity of a tow vehicle - generally based upon curb weight plus one 150-lb driver
Actual towing capacity is about 1,000 pounds less that the tow rating, or, to be more accurate, it's GCWR-GVW, provided that the number you get is less than the tow rating

I know when I was looking for my new truck a few months ago I was reading tow capability numbers all over the place too......every little option would change that number.....I can tell you one thing for sure.....I towed my 35' Sonic this past weekend for the first time......she was fully loaded with fuel, water, and gear and I didn't even know the boat was behind me.....stopped on a dime too........so far two thumbs up from me.......

My parents neighbor tows a 46 Cig with a 2011 F350 SRW and says he has no problems what so ever. Said it tows 100 times better than his 09 Dually between NJ and Florida
