Question Trailer Brake Controller

What is everyone running? I was looking at the Tekonsha P2 or P3. I have an 04' Duramax. Thanks.

I had a P3 in my old truck. Didnt want to do a maxbrake since i knew i wouldnt be keeping it. The P3 worked great, notified me on a trip when i forgot to plug in the trailer cable.

I have the P3, because it has an electric over hydraulic setting in the menu. The unit works great, and was really easy to wire into the chevy harness under the dash.

love my P3
3 axles of Kodiak 13" discs
EOH BrakeRite SD
13500 lbs tow
I have the trailer braking leading the truck just a bit
with no boost and gain at just 1.7
very smooth
key to a good feel is to have plenty of good brake on the trailer!
no controller will make up for inadequate braking surface or quality

P3 in my truck as well, probably the best all around controller available. Works very nice on all types of trailers/braking systems, very intuitive, and can make the display color the same as your other guages.

I'm using a P2 in My '04 Duramax and it works great for my Electric over Hydraulic. It will do either and it's a little less $$ than the P3.
